Noémie Bigras is Associate Professor in the Psychoeducation and Psychology Department at Université du Québec en Outaouais and is the director of the Relationships, Sexuality and Trauma Research Lab (Reset). She completed a Master in Sexology (Research-Intervention profile and a Ph.D in Psychology at UQAM. She did a postdoctoral fellowship at Université de Montréal. She is a registered psychologist at l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec and offers individual and couples therapy. Her research focuses on the effects of distal factors like childhood interpersonal traumas and proximal, like affection or communication, on couples sexual wellbeing daily and over time. She is also interested in documenting changes in couples’ aging trajectories, including sexuality.
