Director
Noémie Bigras (she/her)
Noémie Bigras is Associate Professor in the Psychoeducation and Psychology Department at Université du Québec en Outaouais and is the director of the Relationships, Sexuality and Trauma Research Lab (Reset). She completed a Master in Sexology (Research-Intervention profile and a Ph.D in Psychology at UQAM. She did a postdoctoral fellowship at Université de Montréal. She is a registered psychologist at l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec and offers individual and couples therapy. Her research focuses on the effects of distal factors like childhood interpersonal traumas and proximal, like affection or communication, on couples sexual wellbeing daily and over time. She is also interested in documenting changes in couples’ aging trajectories, including sexuality.

Naomi Cadieux
Naomi (she/her) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (B. Sc.) from the Université de Montréal. She is a Doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology, clinical option (PsyD) at Université du Québec en Outaouais since September 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Noémie Bigras, Ph.D. Her research interests include couple psychology, specifically the impacts of interpersonal traumas on relationship functioning and couples’ sexual well-being.

Lydia Pedneault
Lydia (she/her) completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Université de Montréal. She is currently a Master’s student in Psychology at Université de Montréal under the supervision of Dr. Sophie Bergeron (UdeM) and Dr. Noémie Bigras (Université du Québec en Outaouais). She has been a research assistant in the Reset research laboratory since summer 2023. Her research interests include relational variables such as attachment and spousal support, but also sexuality-related variables such as sexual communication and sexual satisfaction.

Lély-Rose Laurin
Lély-Rose (she/her) holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Ottawa. She is currently completing her master’s degree in counseling psychology at the University of Ottawa. She has been a Reset research assistant since fall 2023. Lély-Rose is interested in diversity and the marital and sexual well-being of couples. She is proud to be part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Marie-May Arnaud
Marie-May (she/her) completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is currently working in the mental health field in the public sector of Montreal. She joined the Reset Lab in September 2024. She is particularly interested in studying the links between interpersonal trauma issues and psychological and sexual well-being, particularly in the context of marital functioning. She wishes to pursue a doctorate program in clinical psychology.
Emmanuelle Alcantar-Laguë
Emmanuelle (her) is a third-year undergraduate student in psychology at Université de Montréal and is a research assistant for the Reset Laboratory since March 2024. She is primarily interested in attachment, interpersonal relationships, and psychopathology. Domestic violence and sexual health are also in her interests. Because of the importance she gives to mental health and her desire to help others, she aspires to pursue her doctoral studies in clinical psychology.

Fabiola Ngamaleu Teumeni
Fabiola (she/her) is a first–year undergraduate student in psychology at the Université de Montréal. She has been a research assistant in Dr. Bigras‘ Relationships, Sexuality, and Trauma Laboratory since November 2023. Wishing to pursue her doctoral studies in clinical psychology, her primary research interests revolve around the well-being of seniors in the realms of sexuality and relationships.
